Callicore est une société qui réunit plusieurs activités concentrées dans le domaine musical : production et réalisation de contenus d'animation pour le secteur musical, mais également édition musicale.
Callicore agit comme un outil de communication et de promotion des artistes et propose notamment des albums concept autour de l'animation. La gestion des projets au sein du studio s’effectue intégralement en interne de la pré production à la postproduction.
Après la nomination du bluesman John Lee Hooker, Jr. aux Grammy Awards 2009 pour l’album « All Odds against me », co-édité et illustré par le studio d’animation français, les productions Callicore et le label de John Lee Hooker, Jr . Steppin’ Stone Records reçoivent une nouvelle distinction à la 13e édition des Webby Awards dans la catégorie Special FX/ Motion Graphics, pour le clip d’animation « Blues ain’t nothin’ but a pimp ».
« Salués comme « l'une des récompenses les plus prestigieuses dans le monde » par la BBC et surnommés « Les Oscars de l'Internet » par le New-York Times, les Webby Awards sont unanimement reconnus comme le Prix international de référence de la galaxie numérique.
Le deuxième extrait d'animation de cet album, People want a Change qui rend hommage au président Barack Obama a été présenté en ouverture de son investiture sur plusieurs chaines américaines.
Callicore a également récemment travaillé pour le groupe Carbon Silicon composé de Mick Jones (The Clash) et Tony James (Generation X – Sigue Sigue Sputnik). Le dernier titre illustré en animation, What’s up Doc ?, est un morceau de 6 minutes mixé spécialement pour le projet animé. L'album sortira prochainement. Un nouveau court-métrage d’animation est actuellement en production pour le groupe.

The Studio Callicore is a productions studio in animation.
Specialized since 2007 in the animated music video, the studio develops concept album projects and comics for artists coming from differents musical styles.
The studio develops the projects entirely in-house, from pre-production to post-production.
